Does the EU AI Act require you to label AI-generated text?
Article 50 of the EU AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026. Paragraph 2 makes the provider of a generative system mark its output in machine-readable form. Paragraph 4 makes a deployer disclose AI-generated text only when it informs the public on matters of public interest, and human editorial control lifts that duty.
